Phase I and II Engineering

$1.5 million

BLA performed Phase I and II design services for the reconstruction of the Jefferson Avenue Bridge and adjacent roadway including a bike path across the DuPage River.  Reconstruction was necessary because of the deteriorated condition of the bridge and the horizontal geometry contributed to unsafe driving conditions.  To eliminate these problems, an improved horizontal alignment was proposed which included realigning the bridge on a curve.  This project also required streetscape final design to match the existing Riverwalk and the Fireman’s Memorial Park.
